Upon receiving her BFA in Acting and Theatre Arts from Boston University's College of Fine Arts in Spring of 2011, Sophie returned home to her native Los Angeles, CA with every intention of putting her hard-earned degree to work. She got a taste for acting at just eighteen months old when she appeared in a Hallmark commercial alongside her father, who is also an actor. Since then, she has worked on countless commercials and plays, as well as guest roles on television shows such as Greek and How I Met Your Mother. Upon being accepted at Boston University, she was selected to be the sole recipient of the Performance Scholarship Award, which she was granted throughout all four years. While studying at Boston University she had the opportunity to star in several short films, one of which was accepted into the 2010 Cannes Film festival. While working on these projects, she also got a great deal of experience behind the camera, directing and assisting on a few short film sets. She has also written over fifteen shorts and four feature films, one of which is currently in pre-production. Her latest short film, "Loop Group" was accepted into ten different festivals, and had its world premiere at LA Comedy fest in 2019. Needless to say, she is passionate about all aspects of her craft, whether it be writing, directing, or filmmaking.
